TaxWatch will receive 500 million won in technology development and research funding over the next two years.

As the first news media company selected for the TIPS program, TaxWatch announced plans to establish a foundation for growth as a future-oriented media by incorporating big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. TaxWatch CEO Jo Yong-man said, "As a media startup with IT-based technological capabilities, we plan to develop a reader-friendly subscription model and expand our business area into a tax portal."

Douzone Holdings, participating as a TIPS operator, stated, "With increasing interest in tax savings and financial activities, the importance of tax management is becoming more prominent, and demand is steadily growing. We expect to develop and provide new services connecting individuals and experts by utilizing TaxWatch's know-how, extensive article content data, and solid network that can provide customized information to customers."

Founded in October 2021, TaxWatch is a media outlet that provides tax issues and information from people's real lives. It reaches readers through various channels, including the free TAXWATCH newspaper, the detailed newsletter, YouTube tax-saving chat room, and tax-saving calendar. Following partnerships with portal news services like Naver and Kakao, TaxWatch has content provision agreements with Baedal Minjok, Biznep, CashNote, and Getty Images Korea. TaxWatch's tax content can also be subscribed to through Naver Premium Content.

Weraser

Weraser has been selected for the TIPS program.

'WiseConvey', the service provided by Weraser, is a platform that applies vision artificial intelligence (AI) to shipping document processing. When files are uploaded, it processes them without the need for separate information input

In the past, shipping companies had to manually input or use OCR methods for key logistics document data, including emails, which was time-consuming and had a high risk of input errors. However, 'WiseConvey' has the advantage of reducing error rates and saving time by using AI to process uploaded files.

CEO Kim Hyun-jong said, "I'm pleased that through this TIPS selection, Weraser's technological capabilities and growth potential have been officially recognized. We will use this opportunity to accelerate our technological advancement and strive to expand our reach into domestic and international logistics markets."

Yoo Sang-hoon, CEO of JB Ventures, who led Weraser's TIPS selection, stated, "I understand that digitalization and automation of import and export logistics in the shipping market have been accelerating recently. However, this requires not only technological capabilities but also expertise in the relevant business. As Weraser is a company with extensive business experience and AI technology, we expect it to show high growth in the future."

The rest is omitted.
