Can you share an example of overcoming difficulties?
When starting a new business, it's common to face financial difficulties. Based on lessons learned from our previous business, we quickly refined our Business Model and actively pursued government project funding and investment attraction. During this process, we applied to many accelerating programs and received various mentoring, which allowed us to secure business selection and investment more quickly.
Please introduce your business item (product, service) WiseConvey.
In international logistics, one of the most important documents is the B/L (Bill of Lading). Currently, various stakeholders exchange this B/L and input it into their respective systems. We are working on automating this input process using Vision AI to reduce manual work in the logistics industry.
What's the outlook for items (products, services) in the logistics industry?
Through my experience in shipping companies, game companies, and IT companies, I've felt that compared to other industries, the logistics industry is lagging in IT technology adoption and automation, or Digital transformation. As Digital transformation is just beginning, I believe there will be many opportunities for companies like us that provide full automation solutions for the logistics industry.
What is WiseConvey's differentiated competitiveness?
hasn't yet achieved remarkable results with B/Ls in the logistics industry. This is because documents like B/Ls require not just text extraction but also post-processing to convert the extracted text into information. This is only possible with long-term work experience and AI technology capabilities combined, which is our unique strength.
What were WiseConvey's representative achievements and secrets in 2021?
I think our biggest achievement in 2021 was transitioning from an AI fashion curation service to a logistics AI data platform and securing investment. Due to COVID-19's impact, the children's consumer market shrank significantly, causing us great difficulties from last year to early this year. I believe our efforts to overcome this difficult situation rather than giving up led to good results.
What are your future plans and ultimate goals?
Currently, we're providing automation services to collect data, but after accumulating sufficient data, we aim to grow into a logistics data platform that provides insights that were previously unavailable.
